If everyone refuse to comply, and let their accounts dormant instead, I promise you the platforms themselves, with their immense budget and network of lobbyists, are going to fight these absurd laws to recover their users.

They need you more than you need them.
Make them fight for your rights.
Do not comply.

I am someone who likes to read terms & conditions and privacy policies and I would be like "hell nah".

Also I would not connect / hand over my government issued id card ever to an American company.

Ever.
