Age and ID verification coming to Claude AI soon. Anthropic’s updated privacy policy (effective July 8, 2026) introduces age and identity verification provisions for Claude Free, Pro, and Max users. @nixCraft the question is, while people might do the ID thing for their Insta or tiktok, will they really do it for the AI shit.... I can't imagine everyone's ready for that or they at least will think twice if their chatbot is worth it. Social Media will definitely rank higher for a lot of people who've built their business or their social life around it.

@wtrmt it's alarming in how short of a time this happened then. But I'm squarely in the "Get the fuck off with your genAI grift" corner, so it's truly beyond me how anyone can rely on these probability machines for anything @nixCraft
