I've always liked Gappa. But it is kind of a mid kaiju movie. Nothing wrong with it (aside from the obvious brownface...). Just not much that stands out. Kaiju family is cool, but we already have Gorgo. The sets the monsters are on are good and feel big but none of them are stunning (maybe the cave?). It's fine. Gappa is a fine kaiju movie.
