Just the two absolute psycho aggressive dangerous drivers on the way to work this morning. "Be safe, be seen," etc., I guess.

One of them slammed the brakes ahead of me, put the car in reverse, before changing her mind, roaring and shouting racial slurs while driving off.
The other drove alongside me, roaring out the passenger window, slowed ahead of me, missed their turn, later eventually catching up to a junction where I was waiting and resumed roaring.
Absolutely unhinged behaviour.

That said - and to be absolutely clear on this - if I *had* "done something" (whatever that may mean), absolute psycho aggressive dangerous driving behaviour is *also not* justified.
The amount of times I've had drivers using their cars as a weapon against me because of a _perceived_ infringement of some kind (confirmed by the shouting and roaring through a passenger window) is too many to be anything other than a pattern.
@clickhere They’re out on a rampage. I’ve had a few encounters like that here in my town, in the past. Needed a few hours afterwards to come out of shock state. Very scary and dangerous.
@swoonie Yeah, it's appalling - I'm sorry you've been subjected to this kind of thing, too.
Having to get on with your day like normal, as though a person hasn't just dangerously threatened your physical well-being, is always so jarring.

@nantes I have two high-quality cameras on my bike, facing front and rearwards.
There's no amount of footage that will make a Garda act. I reported this incident, and it went nowhere - didn't even get to give a statement:
@clickhere @swoonie ouch :( They've started separating the cycle paths from the roads here a bit to avoid that kinda crap but it can still happen. (Not as many taxis in France at least where I am as compared to Ireland though)
@nantes @swoonie Yeah, in the vid, that lane is a bus and cycle lane (in the 1980s, taxis were temporarily allowed to use bus lanes on a trial basis, and I guess the trial is still going..), while cycle lanes themselves vary in quality - yet, even the best we have are no match for drivers who want to drive or dump their vehicles on them. Good ol' Ireland, wha?
