Correction: the LDS is on the list but not as Christians. Still a big yikes for the Sec. of Beer.

They're approved. They're just not included as Christian.

The LDS believe the godhead are three distinct beings. That's the sticking point.

@LeslieBurns @katrinakatrinka I've said it before to all the "America is really a Christian nation" idiots. If that ever becomes true then who is "Christian" becomes a pretty important debate. And the nationalists sure as heck will turn on Mormons, Catholics and any 'woke' sect just as fast and intensely as they have on Muslims, atheists, etc.

I was raised antitheist atheist and this is about the one area in which I agree with the christofascists. I do think america is an xtian nation. I mean--they can frame any minor limit on their ability to persecute anyone they want as persecution of themselves. How much privilege does that take? How solid and universal is their control of the culture and the narrative that that one flies? America is and always was a christian nation. I just think that's shit, and finally looks to be changing.
