Hans on the BikeCity of #Ottawa removes protective traffic islands in protected bike lane after drivers complain they had to wait. Before and after. I am not sure what difference it makes but it may have had to do with car traffic not being able to turn fast enough and creating back ups on Main St. So cyclists are thrown under the bus.
