So WSocial wants your data, claiming that a european but still data harvesting and advertisement funded for profit social media company would somehow "save democracy". 🏛
As if being european would somehow make this toxic business model any better.

I have a dormant Bluesky account (I just use it to lurk and do research) and it just occurred to me yesterday that even if I wanted to, I could not defederate from the W Social server.
One more reason why I love the Fediverse so much. The power it gives us!
One-two years ago I defederated my Mastodon account from Threads and never looked back
