Oh, I thought your reply was part of the joke. Last I heard, the most recent version of Linux kernel was 7, which released last month. Um... that was the factual thing I was not saying. Now I've said it.
I have no idea what you mean by "Linux 3" then. I assumed that was a joke reply, kind of like the old proposal for the name for the second Spaceballs movie:
Spaceballs III: The Search for Spaceballs II. (Its actual name is now "Spaceballs: The New One.")
