For the 50 states and Puerto Rico, the U.S. Drought Monitor shows 52.15% in moderate drought or worse, compared to 51.35% last week.

Conditions worsened in parts of the Midwest this week, with small areas of improvement in Illinois and Iowa. The rest of the Lower 48 saw a mix of improvement and degradation to dryness and drought.
Puerto Rico saw degradation this week, while Hawaii and Alaska saw a few areas of improvement.
