Boeing is flying another 787-9 from San Antonio Kelly Field #KSKF to Portland #KPDX as BOE751. I don't know which plane this is. It's using the manufacturer temporary registration N879PK which was just released last month from an ex-LOT 787-9 repainted at PDX for Lufthansa with its new permanent German registration. Boeing stores not-taken-up (NTU) airframes at various bases where it has parking space, including SKF. A bit more sleuth-searching shows the 787-9 N879PK currently flying SKF-PDX for paint is line number LN1046, another NTU (not taken up/cancelled order) formerly LOT Polish Airlines now going to Lufthansa. This was the last NTU 787 in storage that Boeing had available for sale.

The reason I said to expect it to land on Runway 28R at PDX is because 28L has a NOTAM-scheduled closure today. Otherwise they'd prefer the runway nearest to the Boeing paint hangar.

As planned I biked to the Columbia River levee for planespotting when BOE751 arrived. I posted pics & video in my thread on comings & goings of the Boeing PDX paint hangar. Of course, when overlooking a runway, an #avgeek can't just watch one airplane. Attached: 1 video Video of landing roll of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner as Boeing 751 on Runway 28R at Portland International Airport #KPDX. It arrived wearing the livery of LOT Polish Airlines, but was an NTU (not taken up/cancelled order). This is line number LN1046 - it was parked at San Antonio Kelly Field #KSKF in Texas for over 2 years waiting for a buyer. It taxied to the Boeing Portland Paint Hangar, where it will be repainted for Lufthansa and start on interior rework. #aviation #travel #avgeek

With fast-moving airplanes, the timing of pictures doesn't always work. This one did. Alaska Airlines 737 MAX9 N291BT departing Runway 28R as Alaska 1455 for Anchorage.
