Matt Killmon@atpfm My only minor correction: “Journey” was not published by Annapurna in the timeframe of Her (2013)'s release; they did publish the Windows and iOS ports in 2019, but in 2012 “Journey” was developed by Thatgamecompany and published directly by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

Tambourine Man@atpfm I think you guys missed the mark. It’s precisely because computers in the future are good at writing letters that Phoenix’s character is hired to write them. His letters are valued *because* they are written by a human.
Also, the movie didn’t get a lot right by accident. The issues it addresses were already “in the air” in the early 2010s.
