hey Admins,
Is there a bot, which replies under each picture post with missing alttext: "please use alt-text, because xyz"
It should just track your own instance

Maybe not under each post, but just once each month per user.... ?
Preferable it works with a token, so you can post with an admin account.

Do any of you know such a bot for self-hosting? It should work with #Mastodon and #Pixelfed.

Thx

@joergi I get the intent behind this idea, but I would personally find such a bot annoying and consider it to be spam. IMO, the way to encourage behavioral change is through meaningful interactions, not automation.

I do understand it. But tbh,if i make it by hand it's normally more or less the same text over and over again. And I always link this post. https://punkstodon.de/@punxsocial/116035359521726338
So making this automated but still posting with my own user, the same text as always, should not look too much like a bot.
And Ideally I have 3-5 texts and it takes randomly one of them.
But doing this by hand is getting so much on my nerves. So I'm too tired doing it.

Attached: 1 image Englisch: P̶L̶E̶A̶S̶E̶ USE ALT TEXT! It's been a week since our Fedi-Punk workshop on di.day. Since then, more users have joined both “our” instances and others. Once again, welcome! When you post images, p̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ pay attention to alt text. The Fediverse in particular strives to be inclusive. There are many users in the Fediverse who rely on screen readers. If you post images without alt text, screen readers have no way of telling users what the image is. This is the opposite of accessibility. So be part of the positive change and use alt text! Thank you! Your punx.social team. @joergi I can't read Deutsche, so I can't comment on the other posts (even though they look like translations of this one). But, yeah, that would be too loud, too annoying, too "in-my-face" -- I would be more likely to ignore it or rebel against it.

But given the name "punkstodon" I'm guessing that is to be expected.  I would quickly find an exit from such an instance if I received that message more than once.

Ok, more than once is bad, i do understand.
Thx for your opinion, I do appreciate it.

So for the first time poster I guess it's okay.
I will think about it.
