“Why would you bring a child into this world?”

Because I haven’t given up on this world yet.
(I’m not saying *you* should have a child if you don’t want to. Just saying that your nihilism isn’t helping anything.)

@maxleibman Admit I had to look up #nihilism - has a few meanings (robably all in what you meant except for 3rd meaning below) so just for clarity and my own #reference:

Noun: nihilism
1. A revolutionary doctrine that advocates #destruction of the #social #system for its own sake
2. The #delusion that things (or everything, including the self) do not #exist; a sense that everything is #unreal
3. Complete #denial of all established #authority and #institutions

@collective_truth @maxleibman what i find interesting about this, is none of these seem to be the kind of things i think of whenever anyone says it;

i tend to think of it as a mindset that results in conceding that the world cannot get better and thus not trying to ever help anything or anyone ever; that you shouldn't even try or whatever the heck, a defeatist mindset of sorts; which i would agree wouldn't help anything;

.. but, a denial of authority, wanting to take down the current social structures of things, are all things i would do (is it just the seeing things as unreal part? -- but i have a dissociative disorder >_< thats me too!) are all things i do and with the exception of the 2nd one (a bit more nuanced on that xS)

think is kinda good; (even if i think the reasons for the 1st are lacking- 'for its own sake' ? well only if their shit, which they are;)

.. its .. weird?
