A few more pics of the inside of the incredible Biblioteca Vasconcelos in #CDMX
I remembered to not take my backpack along (not a big deal as they just check) or my camera camera along (can't use that inside). So just phone pics these, no edits.
(Initially shied away from taking pic3, then took it as no faces were visible; I think but not sure if shoes from pic two are also in pic3)

Pity the whale skeleton wasn't in full view - scaffolding around it for cleanup or new decor. Some lights on it made it interesting.

kliyo erina@SRDas This is how I imagine an evil philanthropist would spend the money they had no idea what to do with anymore... Looks dizzying. Recently, our neighboring town's library just finished with their renovations. I'll be heading off sometime next week and I'll be damned if this didn't just raise my expectations. If only other countries could invest into literacy and media like this. What a dream! BLIS doesn't happen to be a popular course here though, so there's still a lot set out before we get anywhere near this sort of marvel.
