1. Why are you astonishied that #europe #maps for europe are better then the US-Tech ones. Especially because #openstreetmap is based on work of #volunteers
2. In #germany be on time at least at the first meeting. (otherwise there could be 3: the first, the last and the only)

@red_rooster You're putting words into my mouth.

The surprise is that the FT mentioned small map tech and geocoder suplliers, and secondly that they don't realise the two firms are not consumer facing.

As an #OpenStreetMap contributor for 17½ years I'm perfectly aware of why it can be better than Gmaps.

Talking #economy that is especially in #germany that there are many #sme that are world market leaders in their specific field of expertise. Well, there is often engineering involved, but also #software for special purposes.
