As I wait for my Framework 13 Pro and prepare for the move off of MacOS I am exploring the apps I will need to get proficient with.

Today, I installed Kdenlive and have been pleasantly surprised at how capable it is. I'm certainly no pro at this, but so far I haven't found anything I want to do that I can't.

@kaleb @frameworkcomputer we have a couple Framework laptops at work. They're slick. Which Linux distribution will you be using?

@audiophyl that's a hard question. I have long been a Debian user but that’s always been on servers.

I really value the independence of a community distro to a Canonical or RedHat. Yet the last time I regularly used Linux as a daily driver I used Ubuntu and Fedora.

I am certainly open to recommendations, but I value a distro that offers the latest vanilla Gnome desktop and none of these newfangled generative AI tools.

@kaleb @audiophyl Well you could try bluefin/aurora/bqzzite, they are based on fedora, but community supported. Also they've got great support for frameworks (bazzite is even officially supported on frame.work/linux.
