Forget #bazzite
I can load up any other gaming Linux. This won’t run. I picked the appropriate hardware config. And it won’t run. Two different usb sticks, it won’t even be read. #ubuntu #linuxmint #pop_os #NobaraLinux just work. But not Bazzite. Not on a recycled computer. Not on a brand new gaming laptop.

Lesson learned. Which gaming Linux distro should I put on a warp drive gaming lappy?

#linux

@infoseclogger I mean, define 'not run' what happens, what do you see.

Not saying I personally know what the solution might be but worth looking into. Shouldn't be a problem

@thibaultmol the computer will not read the drive with the Bazzite installer. Every other distro boots to the Linux boot loader//installer.
@infoseclogger @thibaultmol sounds like a problem with the installation media. May be because #immutable type OS? I couldn't get #atomicfedora to install but the normal one didn't cause any problems.
Anyhow #nobara is easy peasy great choice.

I'm curious about what you downloaded, because I just used the Live ISO media two weeks ago and last week to install on two different computers and it worked just fine. I mean, I don't think you have a USB drive problem, it's either a bad ISO download or a BIOS problem. Did you try to disable secure boot? (Not that I agree on disabling, but doesn't hurt trying).

@badnetmask @PaavoAM @thibaultmol @ppulfer

Have to disable it for any of the linux. And I went to the Bazzite homepage and followed the instructions to download a build that was built for the chipset and drivers needed. No Joy.

Well, sorry. I see from another message in the thread that you already gave up so I'm not gonna bother you anymore.
