Vikki@TimWardCam @anon_opin I don’t actually think fair or true. They believe passionately for change as they don’t like how things are. And I agree there, we have a lot of messes. But the problem is they are lied to on what is actually wrong and what the root causes are. Because the misdirection is what gets the votes because they create a narrative people can believe. That works because pitching the real reasons which are very nuanced & frankly not very marketable doesn’t work.

@TimWardCam @anon_opin unfortunately whether anyone wants to accept it or not, despite the incredibly flawed brexit situation the country didn’t fall apart so it isn’t a winning explanation.
Yes in some areas it is worse, but they too are often masked and not seen or mitigated against.
People have to start thinking about the way and reasons the far right narrative works to defeat it because those approaches work and this stuff just doesn’t.

Ask any of them to define change. "Not this!" is not a definition. They can't. So they will allow that definition to be provided to them in the form of "these people are different from you and are therefore the entire problem."
They get what they vote for because they can't be bothered to think for themselves.
