@mosgaard, has been great. So far covers 98% of my needs, from phone, camera, whatsapp calling, music, etc. Discovering new apps is fun.

@ppulfer that do sound pretty great! Are the apps dedicated phone apps, or the regular Linux apps which also works on phone?

@mosgaard, regular Linux and android apps. Android run side-by-side as if they are native, giving you the best of both worlds.

@ppulfer woah. That’s kind of amazing, does this gives some Google security issue vibes, or is it a protected environment somehow?

@mosgaard, no. Android apps run inside a container called #waydroid. For example, instead of using Google Play Services (that includes all the telemetry/tracking), it uses something called MicroG, allowing you to run apps like youtube which requires some shared libraries.
