Als teil des "Digital Independence Day" hab ich mein daily-driver Smartphone, ein Fairphone 5, unlocked und das Android durch ubuntu Touch ersetzt. Bis auf 2 wichtige Android Apps (Whatsapp, S-PushTAN) läuft es ziemlich gut und ich vermisse nichts. Ersteres kann ich via #waydroid laufen lassen, aber letzteres? Hat wer ne Idee wie ich die APK davon bekomme?

does anyone know what version of android #waydroid needs in order to use the notification forwarding? Im on a Oneplus 6T on #Postmarketos and I cant seem to get it to work, I read the android version needs to be upgraded but I believe i'm on the latest version.

@stiller_leser @w269 Super, c'est plus avancé que je ne le pensais.

En fait visiblement SailfishOS est fonctionnel à quelques bugs près sur FP2, FP4 et FP5, mais sans support commercial, ni accès aux applications Android pour le moment.

Par contre quelqu'un a glissé dans ce thread qu'on peut installer Ubuntu Touch sur un Fairphone 4 et y faire tourner des appli Android via l'émulateur #waydroid.

Ravi de ré-entendre parler d' #UbuntuTouch. Se serait une très bonne solution. #UBports

VALVe Lepton (basé sur Waydroid), Waydroid, Jolla Android AppSupport (dans SailfishOS).

Tous les trois reposent sur les mêmes briques, notamment les conteneurs LXC et Wayland.

Et tous les trois ont le même objectif : faire tourner des apps Android sous Linux, sans passer par une couche d’émulation complète.

Ich hoffe doch stark, dass #Lepton auch auf x86_64 #Linux kommt und nicht nur #SteamFrame exklusiv ist. Klar gibt es #Waydroid, worauf das ja basiert, nur habe ich damit sowohl auf dem #SteamDeck als auch anderen Linux Geräten von mir Probleme, vor allem hat das ganze halt keine #Steam Integration, was heißt, dass ich keine App über #Gamescope verwenden kann.
