U.S. MEASLES CASES

2020: 13
2026: 1,912 (Jan–April)

Increase: 14,608%

MAHA is off to a productive start, I see.

@Strandjunker Making Measles Great Again
@Strandjunker if eugenics is the goal (it is for theses folks), then the metrics look great.
@Strandjunker MAMA: Make America Measly Again!
@Strandjunker Pretty soon, the US will be known as Plague-country.
@Strandjunker
Soon they will stop reporting and there will be none.
@claude_flammang @Strandjunker We can solve every problem by pretending it doesn't exist!
@jackemled @claude_flammang @Strandjunker I have a new saying I've been using a lot lately: ostriches don't actually stick their heads in the sand in hopes it will make a thing they don't like go away. Only humans do that.
@Strandjunker you say that like killing off the weak wasn’t a primary step. Next they just say anyone who isn’t healthy isn’t really an American, pretty soon all Americans will be healthy
@Strandjunker evolution is back in business
@Strandjunker MAHA? Make America Herpes Again?
@kaito02 @Strandjunker It's supposed to be "healthy" as in "make America healthy again" except it's antivaxxers/antiscience, so what it actually means is "kill lots of little kids and produce a lot of adults with major disabilities again."
@kaito02 @Strandjunker MAHA = Measles Are Here Again

@Strandjunker

Anti-abortion, yes

Pro-Life, not so much

@HamonWry @Strandjunker
Sounds like a pregnancy fetish to me

@HamonWry @Strandjunker That's all the so called "pro-life" ever was: anti-choice.

I feel like they're really giving up the pretense these days, yet so many still listen to their BS anyway...

@nazokiyoubinbou @HamonWry @Strandjunker people who don’t want kids make bad parents. bad parents make bad kids, bad kids make bad parents, bad parents make bad kids it’s a endless cycle

@cameron29 @HamonWry @Strandjunker Well, there are a lot of conditions that have these results. But I do agree that it's more important for people to have kids when they're ready, not when they aren't.

But really what it's about is trying to take away women's ability to choose how their lives go. Essentially trapping them with children. The idea being to force them to rely on a man to support them so they can't, for example, get education and jobs. Such women tend to vote against the right.

@Strandjunker Measles Against Gormless America
@Strandjunker I just want to know when we reach 70 million cases.
@Strandjunker I agree with the point but picking a lockdown year for the baseline of a communicable disease case count makes the stats seem a little fishy.
@Strandjunker Just you wait, once they've successfully gutted the institutions that do the recordkeeping the cases will be right back to 0
@Strandjunker Those budget cuts are looking like a liability now.

@Strandjunker I agree with your sentiment, but I think it's important to point out that 2020 is not a great year to compare against. It was abnormally low due to COVID.

The cases have been generally increasing since the early 2000s, when antivax disinformation started taking off, leading us to MAHA.
