after 4 years of being forced to work on a mac - I am finally making my way back to linux. I chose #cachyos with #niri, which felt immediately like home

Problem is that my muscle memory (and my custom mechanical keyboard) are too used to the nasty mac habits.
I either re-adapt to using ctrl instead of super or twist my linux to behave like a mac.
not decided yet

@akivalue or map control to caps-lock since you’re having to adapt to a change anyway?

@ams

thanks, that's a clever idea but:
1. I am considering whether I should minimize the change to my setup or to my brain
2. my keyboard has no caps lock

@akivalue oh! Nice keyboard 👍

@ams ty

btw, it's worth giving a shoutout to sadeeq from fingerpunch who designed and created this ximi2

@akivalue I ended up switching the Firefox accelkey to super on Linux (since one can't configure this on macos which I'm required to use at work) to make things match. This way super+t is new tab and super+v is paste, in either browser/OS.

@Viiru

thank you, I think I'll do the same

@akivalue I feel like linux is meant to be twisted, adapt it to the way you like to work.
