So I saw my GP to find out why rheumatology rejected me.

Turns out it's because they'd already rejected me before... They ignored the new information we sent in and my GPs comments.
GP is not happy.

He is re-referring me again.
He said to speak to the long COVID clinic physio on Friday and ask if he can write something to support the referral.
He's also going to speak to the pain practitioner I saw and see if she can get me in via the pain clinic.

He even said that if I go private it needs to be an NHS rheumatologist that I see privately and that if they diagnose me then that's grounds for a complaint.

He's prescribed Naproxen cos it should help, if not as much as the steroids, and if it does help it provides more evidence that it is inflammatory.

He also said I can email him if they work and he'll put them on repeat, and he'll email me when rheumatology reply.

@alexisbushnell so glad you are getting some support at least 🤞
I've know people take steroids for decades. Its not ideal but better than the alternative sometimes.
@Florapis yeah you can take them but my GP isn't allowed to prescribe them for more than 2 weeks unless I have a diagnosis that requires them. So basically if rheumatology refuse to see me, his hands are tied.
@alexisbushnell ah, I understand
