If you follow someone whose own posts are good but they boost too much, you can hide just their boosts if you want:

1. Go to their profile page
2. Click the ⋯ icon
3. Click "Hide boosts"

(If you change your mind, go back to their profile and click "Show boosts" instead.)

@FediTips Is there a way to do that for myself? Sometimes I want to refer back to an old toot of mine and it's a pain to find it in between boosts.

@tkissing

Yes! If you log into your server's website (for you that's https://mastodon.social) and then go to your profile, you can set it to hide your boosts.

Alternatively, you can use special phrases called search operators to search posts. If you just want to search your own posts include the phrase from:me in the search. More info at https://fedi.tips/how-do-i-search-for-stuff-on-mastodon/

You can also do this on Android with Fedilabs @apps. View your own profile and select the Replies tab.
