This particular #crow is my current backyard #corvid BFF. It comes to same place, daily & we hang out almost every morning ❀️

My backyard #crow BFF, perched on a big planter pot - 2 feet from my potting station chair. It was doing some preening while I was potting up new food plant seeds πŸ’—β€οΈπŸ’—

My crow BFF just chased off Mr. T - our backyard, super buff, gangster squirrel. Mr. T, chose violence this morning. Going high up a tree to bomb my head with 2 pinecones.
Mr. T is probably mad that I haven't put any fresh nut offerings out yet this weekend.

@PhoenixSerenity

We tried to befriend the local crows, and they do come by pretty often, but the surprise was how much the Bluejays have taken to us.

They come and make "rusty gate" noises in the yard until we toss peanuts out for them. And they will come pretty close to us to pick them up now, too.

Sometimes, if they see me coming home down the alley, they'll follow me and wait for me to grab peanuts from the back door.

Edited to add a short vid.

@Daveography I know someone who used to live in @PhoenixSerenity 's neck of the woods who more or less befriended the local crow population because of some much less pleasant birds who were going to nest at their window. I may or may not have been bribing the local crow population with "shinies" (nickels from a roll I got awhile back) in hopes they'll stick around and do the same.
@PhoenixSerenity Lololol! Funny squirrel.
