Tribute bands are one step up from Stars In Their Eyes and seem to be largely made up of middle-aged men living out some sad rock-star fantasy they charge you at least £20 a pop to watch.
@anon_opin Some of them are really good so get over yourself
@baiteh @anon_opin agreed! I've seen some really good tribute acts.

Ultimate Madnezz were let down by their warmup act, so they did an impromptu set of non-Madness songs, before going off for ten minutes and coming on again to do their intended full set of Madness songs. Seriously impressive musicianship, stamina, and showmanship.

And £20 in a local club is a lot more affordable (and accessible for me) than £100+ for big names in big venues in a distant city.
@jetlagjen @baiteh @anon_opin Impressive! Not every band has the ability to open for itself.
