45 years ago today, April 11, 1981, Charly McClain debuted at #72 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Surround Me with Love”. It went on to peak at #5 for two weeks and spent a total of 18 weeks on the chart.

It’s been my hobby to collect 45 RPM singles. I enjoyed listening to this song on the radio and went to my favorite record store to buy and added it to my treasured music collection back then.
