MBI had the gall to disclaim the IBM logo as a registered trademark of IBM, but then just flip it around and use it as their own.
@vwestlife Did they get sued? Tell me they got sued.
@Elizafox No clue. According to what I can find, MBI of Irvine, Cal. was only around in 1982-1983. After then they either changed their name or went out of business. There was another MBI at the same time -- Microcomputer Business Industries, based in Golden, Colorado, whose logo mimicked IBM's without being an exact copy of it.
@vwestlife I want to see the legal letters that MBI received from IBM once IBM realized these guys exist. ๐Ÿ˜…
@vwestlife
I'm gonna start a company called BIM
@vwestlife
So that's where the @MASTERBOOTRECORD "MBR" logotype came from!

@vwestlife

"Good artists copy, great artists steal"
- Steve Jobs
-- Pablo Picasso (misattributed)
--- Maybe actually T.S. Eliot "Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal."
---- And maybe even W. H. Davenport Adams before that

@vwestlife real monty python energy
@vwestlife @foone Theyโ€™ve got the Big Mac, Iโ€™ve got the Big Mc!
@vwestlife I'm more impressed with the entire whole 1 MB they stuffed into that thing.
