tl;dr -- the #MA House passed a bill that is *wildly* invasive of #online #privacy, in the name of "think of the children!" pearl-clutching. It's likely to do far more harm than good, probably especially to the most vulnerable.

@huxley Sounds like it, yeah, although worse than some from the sound of things.

Many US states are contemplating these things, and some have passed them; I'm disappointed to see the MA House going with the stupid herd, instead of properly understanding the ramifications here and taking the social costs into account.
