Let us try to analyse the situation calmly and rationally:
Primo: Iran is willing to risk being bombed again for a brotherly nation. That is very noble, and shows an example.
Secundo: #Iran wants the Peace to be secured by a #UN Security Council Resolution. That will restore the UN power that Israel and the US have eroded.
Tertio: Iran is weakening #israel , thus making their recognition of #Palestine possible.
Quarto:It is weakening #us in #NATO. Thus liberating #Europe from its "presence".

@timagal

But #Iran itself is heavily under the influence of and dependent on #China and #Russia.

So, in the great power rivalry, Iran is still a nobody. The #MiddleEast will simply replace one hegemony with another.

@rameshgupta don't underestimate Iran. That is the same mistake Trump and Yahoo made.

Don't overestimate #Iran. That is the same mistake #Trump and Yahoo made by overestimating #US power.

Iran is and will remain dependent on a superpower. Under the Shah, it was #UnitedStates. Now it is #China and its #juniorPartner #Russia.

Meeting between #Putin and #Pezeshkian offers Russia an opportunity to burnish its self-image as a superpower “…as the bigger partner, and Iran as a regional partner.”

So this makes the pecking order clear in the #CRINK axis:

China (#SeniorPartner) > Russia (#JuniorPartner) > Iran (drone supplier) > #NorthKorea (cannon fodder supplier)

@rameshgupta maybe now, that is in need of reconstruction. But if you look at the missiles and drones used by Russia in Ukraine are Iranian and of Iranian technology. The US is also dependent on the rest of the world, and you see signs iin Hungary that it too, is bowing down to Russia and China. More so now that it is alone.
@rameshgupta keep in mind that the US is heavily dependent on China for technology. Also, do not forget that, if specialists say it will take Iran one to two years to recover from the war, it will take the West many more years to recover from the Hormuz Strait Crisis.

⬆️ @timagal

The dependence that #UnitedStates has on #China is mutual and economic.

The dependence that #Iran has on #China and #Russia is for its survival and protection as a regional power.

The two kinds of dependencies are not the same.

I think the #UnitedStates is done in the #MiddleEast after #Trump launched his illegal war.

The #US will NEVER recover from this fiasco.
