So... I definitely need to crochet myself a skirt guard for my bike, right?

@MsHearthWitch OBVIOUSLY
@consumablejoy I even have the yarn for it - altho not 100% sure I have the colours I'll want. Will have the check the stash.

@MsHearthWitch

Oh no!

You could sew one, or knit one, probably basket-weave one… Not sure about pottery, but definitely tin work and wood working!

There are probably a thousand #maker ways to do this!

but that crocheted one looks pretty cool!

@Amgine Not sure I understand the "oh no!" but yes, there are many ways I've seen folks "solve the problem" of long skirts and bikes!

@MsHearthWitch

More intended as "Oh! No! you don't have to do it *that* way… we can make the decision-making much more challenging!"

I can make a hat, I can make a brooch, I can make a pterodactyl…, (quote from the movie Airplane, comedy spoof of disaster films, in respose to the question: What do you make of this?)

@Amgine Oooo okay. I understand!

I do like the look of the crochet one altho I know it'll take a while. I might see about cobbling a fabric one together for the meantime as I love wearing long skirts.

@MsHearthWitch

Of course now I am wondering if I can find stainless steel wire flexible enough to knit something like it. But then I would have to get skirts to justify it.

Or not, if it looks cool.

@MsHearthWitch first time seeing something like this, it’s adorable!
@dasparky Yeah I started searching for options as I assumed that women riding bikes in long skirts is a thing.
@MsHearthWitch @dasparky you NEED to make this.
