This was inevitable. Renters being thrown out. Can someone who knew more than I explain why an immediate break/review clause could not be part of the legislation in England? I know many MPs are landlords but it can’t be that simple can it - giving them a head start to make more money?

@Wen they were always going to do this, that's how toxic capitalism works, the real win is the law itself. An evil and intolerant force will always blame someone trying to make things better for them behaving badly. They don't have to act like greedy awful vile monsters, they could just admit they've had it really good for a long time and that time is now over, if anything we should look at this as a reason to go further in future, irrespective of their childish selfish threats...
