It’d be great if a future Democratic president decided to unilaterally spend $1 billion a day on education, healthcare and housing because that’s apparently something the executive branch can do without anyone’s approval.

Edit: I was being stingy with a week—it’s a day

@Holberg If you're talking about the Iran fiasco, I think it's $1 billion a day, not a week.
@DeanFarrell @Holberg And estimates of the first week, at least, put it at almost $2B/day.
@Holberg something any party can do if they control all branches of the government.

@weyoun6 @Holberg
This overlooks one tiny, but very important detail… All the money in America stands behind the fascists, regardless of who gets elected to office. And over 90% of the so-called opposition party is beholden to the people with the money.

So we not only need to take control of all three branches of government; we need to replace over half of the seats currently occupied by Democrats with democratic socialists or some other anti-capitalist equivalent.

@Holberg they tried forgiving student debt with an order and SCOTUS stopped it immediately
@jason @Holberg maybe the the next dem president can gift students patriot missles to sell back to the goverment to pay off their debt.
@jason @Holberg precedent is now set that that doesn't really matter
@aburka @jason @Holberg the same court told that same president he could legally shoot them in the face and he didn't, or do anything else with it either
@Holberg That would go terribly not well for that president.
@Holberg I think this is a great idea
@Holberg if there’s ever another president, that is…
@Edelruth

@Holberg

Hell, even if it were only 1 Billion per week, that would be awesome
