I need to find somebody in Canada who sets up Wordpress websites at a reasonable price, hosted on a Canadian server. I want a person who can arrange for webhosting and a security certificate, install Wordpress, add a few plugins and themes, set up a contact form, and provide some help for a new user.

This is because I don't want to be this person. When friends ask for help getting started, I want to provide a name and URL. I'd like to say hey, go over there and think about hiring this person, I will be at the beach and I do not help with websites anymore.

If you do this kind of WordPress thing, please let me know.

I do indeed do this kind of thing. Here in Canada and on Canadian servers. Been doing this for over 20 years.

But it's a bit of a catch when people shop based on price. I'm not competing with Wix et al.

I set a min price of $2,000 CAD to weed out the cheap+fast seekers.

@KolokokoBird What even are the options for boring, cost-effective Canadian shared hosting these days? Last time I looked (some time last year), I found a handful of options which were pretty expensive (well over CA$10/mo for their entry-level package), and another handful which purported to be Canadian but actually quietly operated out of US datacentres.

I know there's OVH, but I've had technical issues with their billing system in the past that make me leery of recommending them as a set-it-and-forget-it option. (Specifically, I'm worried that the recurring billing will stop recurring, or set off fraud alarms, and intervention by a suitably technical person will be required to navigate the control panel to set things right again.)
