#JP06 2006-04-07

Day 12 of my first Japan trip in 2006 was spent in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto. I went to Kiyomizu-dera at 6:30 AM, then explored more temples including Kodaiji and Nanzenji, with cherry blossoms still going strong.

@norbertwoehnl I remember that aqueduct at Nanzenji from my first and only trip to Japan so far. Behind the aqueduct there also was a path leading up the hill behind the temple with less people and one or two Shinto shrines.

I remember seeing that path back then but ended up not exploring it further; maybe something for a future visit …
