@clive Wow! That third pic is a mindblower. Thank you for sharing.

@clive

All of you destroying the civilization on Mother Earth.

@clive

I do not want to see pictures of the moon taken by a country that starts illeagal wars, threatens it's allies and causes the oppresion of people who do not do as they say.

For humanity my arse.

@Mediocreman @clive

there's a canadian on board and it also involves the esa. you can appreciate that

@benroyce We are involved in the NDP? That is shameful! I never thought my European tax money would fund the Nonce Distraction Project.

@benroyce

Fair Comment, but no.
That is a legalistic justification.

In accountancy that is called window dressing. In theology casuistry. In the magic circle it's misdirection.

Although the scientists think it's science. And we can learn from such activity. The people who pay for it to make it happen are U.S. politicians with tax dollars.

This is an expensive hubris-tic project, to big up a failing nation.

The money should have gone on justice, peace and the environment.

@clive

How long will it be until the conspiracy nuts declare its all a fake story to distract from ..... Epstein's everything?

@darkerknight Oh the flight is real, but it’s entire point is indeed to distract people from Trump being in the Epstein files. It’s lucky none of us are mentioning them.
@clive The lunar eclipse photo is so ethereal and visually perfect that it looks like the best CGI from a sci-fi movie. Amazing!
@clive My current favorite:

@kingtor

yeah that one is awesome

@clive Beautiful. Funny how abstract the size feels at that distance. Has anybody done a “banana for scale” for those craters?
@clive that is impressive 👍👍
@clive - looks straight out of a sci-fi graphic novel

@clive it's a shame they're such small JPEGs, I wish they had released the full size ones or the RAWs.

(wait... can we FOIA them?)
