Ok ok ok hear me out. What if we had a corpus of laws written down of Things You're Not Allowed To Do, and if you do one of those Things you have to do some kind of, oh, idk... punishment. Like, and I'm just spitballing here, for instance the first time could be you have to pay some money back to society. It is *quite* funny that Britain is once again talking about Brexit and rejoining the EU. Don't get me wrong - I am in favour of it - but it's not like we didn't behave appallingly at the EU Christmas party, embarrassing ourselves and everybody else and then loudly proclaiming we're leaving before being sick on the hosts, tripping over and smashing face first into the door, taking a decade to find our way out only to realise we'd soiled ourselves, didn't know where we were, were hungry and didn't have any money and now we're at the window peering in shouting that we might consider coming back into the party if you're lucky, whilst the other guests look on, horrified, as they move to surreptitiously deadbolt the door.
