To all the #FreeCAD fans out there.

I am working on a #LaserCutting design and when I export from TechDraw to SVG, the parts are all rendered with fill that I then need to delete lest the laser decide to engrave it.

Is there a way to make that not happen?

I am guessing this is a template thing, but I don't really understand how templates work.

@amd maybe not very helpful, but i "solved" my laser cutting problems by exporting as autodesk .dwg It might also help your workflow.

@Argonel i might try that on another project, but for this one I'm specifically going back into inkscape to add images to engrave on the parts... I could do that in FreeCAD, but embedding images in FreeCAD always makes me frustrated.

@mfraz74 @amd hmm I've used FreeCAD a lot for lasercutting but never TechDraw to SVG for laser (I tend to use DXF from projections/wires from 3D objects).
