@thoughtpunks Wanderhome unearthed the idea in me that players could set their own goals and expectations with success not having to follow any particular template. It also made me a lot more interested in doing things for the experience than in figuring out ways to avoid doing things in a game in order to maintain the experience.
@SOIMD a lot of people mention Wanderhome as a big influence!
@thoughtpunks It gives you permission to just tell an unbroken, cooperative story without feeling like you’re avoiding major parts of the experience or engaging in behavior that, while seemingly appropriate in spirit, feels almost inappropriate in a traditional table top environment. It’s like a Montessori school RPG.
