It is like burning down a forest just to power a server that summarizes a paper on reforestation. Using LLMs for "information efficiency" is just digital slash and burn in a green coat.

@kimcrawley Please share, as Australia is very quiet re: AI
eg: Andrew Forrest, who donated 2 million to the Fossil Free Treaty at #cop30, whilst receiving 300 million in taxpayer funded diesel subsidies for his fossil fuel use at FMG in the same year.
His foundation funds "Ethical AI", using those same fossil fuelled dollars at Oxford + Cambridge universities.
