DoomsdaysCWWell, it seems I'm now part of the #CommunityGarden group! The organizer and I just talked, and I'll be sending him resources about what other towns in #Maine are doing. There's also some town money available to fix up the fence and whatever else is needed! Excellent!
The organizer is going to till the plot and is also checking to see if the water tank is still intact. He's tinkering with the old fence's solar power charger to see if he can get it to work (if not, there's money to buy a new unit), and is also going to build a compost bin on site (I might suggest he do a 2-3 bin set-up if he's going to all the trouble). And I have dibs on the North plot for my sunflowers! Yay!
