What was YOUR "gateway" indie #TTRPG? The first one that made you realize a whole other world was out there?

@thoughtpunks It was FATE for me too. When the GM let a player make an "attack" with the Crafts skill (by collapsing a chain-link fence on the enemies) it blew my d20-playing mind wide open.

I still run the odd game of FATE, but I appreciate how modern games have picked up that torch and taken it further.

@null_cipher what I love about seeing different mentions of Fate on this topic is how many different parts of it had meaning for people, not just the obvious Fate Point or Aspects stuff. Which I love!
