I see the #Google UX team are as bad as ever... had a prompt to "verify my identity" - next - "use passkey" - yes - "Create a new password" - um, what? Where did that come from.

Also, the Google passkey implementation is among the worst. Every time I use it, it tells me I still need to enter my password, leaving me wondering what the point was in creating it.

I assume that password "expired" but it would have been nice to be told that instead of just "Create a new password." #infosec #passkey
