Artemis is an anagram of Smarties

COINCIDENCE?!?!?!

Just realised I'm missing an s and this whole premise has completely fallen apart. What a huge waste of everyone's time. Sorry everybody.
@TheBreadmonkey Don’t let it happen again.

@TheBreadmonkey yeah but what if it was Shartemis?

Then it could be Shmarties and that's perfect for Sean Connery impersonators.

@TheBreadmonkey they swing around the moon today like a troop of space chimps
@TheBreadmonkey it’s actually spelled Smartemis but the first s is silent, so they left it off. You were right!

@TheBreadmonkey omg I just looked smarties up (because I couldn’t remember where they’re from) and here’s part of the description on wikipedia: "Smarties are oblate spheroids with a minor axis of about 5 mm (0.2 in) and a major axis of about 12 mm (0.5 in).”

@TheBreadmonkey (I was going to comment that my great betrayal as a Canadian is I much prefer M&Ms to Smarties but now I realize Smarties are not Canadian at all but why did I think they were from Canada?!)

@Meznor
Smarties are Australian. So much better than M&Ms

@TheBreadmonkey

@Meznor @TheBreadmonkey

Here in the US, Smarties are an entirely different confection. They're just flavored spheres of compressed sugar, basically.

@Bette @TheBreadmonkey ooh I think in Canada we called these rockets??
@Meznor @Bette @TheBreadmonkey They look like UK Refreshers, basically the same as Lovehearts but without the romantic messages on. So Lovehearts for single people or aro/ace, perhaps

@internetsdairy @Meznor

Perhaps so. The Smarties have a fruity taste, however, and mildly sour.

Is there a recounting of the fewd over blue Smarties?

@Meznor @TheBreadmonkey This is some sort of corollary to @jwz 's comments about math articles on Wikipedia. "Only Wikipedia could suck the soul out of candy, much like the liquid center of a Gusher, which contains 4 ml of a solution of..."
@mtothevizzah @Meznor @TheBreadmonkey @jwz Amusing that the *other* Smarties candy also have such a description https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smarties_(tablet_candy)
Smarties (tablet candy) - Wikipedia

@Meznor @TheBreadmonkey
That is very strange. The only things I have ever seen called Smarties were chalky discs, double concave. Sort of like round Pez. They were packaged in little rolls, with a little twist of plastic around them
