Orbán is getting desperate. If the election next Sunday is honest, he will lose.

BTW, if I were rich I would place this quotation on billboards near the US embassy in Kyiv and the White House in Washington.

@ilust606 The words are right, but today, mere words—unbacked by the right decisions and timely actions—are no longer enough.
@September_UA
Of course. Though Thatcher was a close ally of Ronald Reagan who the Trumpsters pay lip service to.
I'm not naïve as to think I can directly change the minds of MAGA dullards. 😛
Though invoking the name of Reagan and those close to him ideologically still carries weight among many Republicans. Reagan's comments about the Soviet Union's "evil empire" should be heard way more nowadays in regard to Putin's actions.
@ilust606 It seems to me that the ideological themes of the MAGA movement today have absolutely nothing in common with the traditional ideology of the U.S. Republican Party, as represented by figures like Ronald Reagan or John McCain. MAGA has long since become a far-right movement, complete with a cult of personality and certain elements of Nazism.
@September_UA
The main ideology of MAGA is the enrichment of the Trump family and the worship of Trump himself. Some nostalgia for the 1950s is also there.
Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill are terrified to speak out against Trump because they fear he will recruit opponents to run against them in Republican primaries. But as the primary season slowly passes in spring and summer, a few may become less fearful about speaking out. And there's now only a tiny Republican majority in the House.
