#UNRWA stands for United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

#Israel is an #apartheid state enjoying unconditional bipartisan support of the #US establishment.

Remember who they are, when / if you get a chance to vote again.

@65dBnoise
You are just emotionalizing an already complicated conflict. This comes cheap and never helped.

@AndreiM10
Right. Here are a few de-emotionalized observations on your comment:

• using a personal pronoun, "you". It urges the responder to reply in a similar tone
• "cheap" is meant to create emotion and receive a reply in similar tone
• using a generic phrase "complicated conflict". Other standard phrases taught to professionals include "I'm hearing you", "I understand", or "I see your point"

Try better next time

@65dBnoise I don't try to argue with you about linguistics. I try to point out that additionally emotionalizing already heated conflicts which are complicated, proved in the past to lead to more conflict, not to solutions. So from a peace seeking pov they are not helpful.

@AndreiM10
The UN is supposed to be that sobering entity. The UN has one of its agencies trying to help threatened to be exterminated by Israeli officials. Who else is going to help in an sober way an "already heated conflict"?

Is there something specific from a peace seeking pov that you are thinking of, which can be helpful?

I understand that knowing the facts makes many people feel uncomfortable. Some even feel offended, not by reality itself, but by being forced to face it. Some

even think apathy is an expression of civility.

I feel lucky and privileged to live in an area without heated conflicts, at present. The least I can do, is show empathy for those who suffer. Apathy is not a choice.

@65dBnoise Thank you for your kind answer.
So we have this in common: we live in areas without heated conflicts. And we receive information about the suffering in the world. How can we help, what can be helpful? I can't offer you a general answer. I can expose for you my answer for myself.
Conflicts are like closed boxes. Violence leads to violence, hate to hate. Putting more hate in that box doesn't lead to peace.

@AndreiM10
Still, I can't see what you refer to as "hate" wrt my post. I'm talking about Israelis threatening to kill UN personnel; only today a staff member of the WHO was killed and a doctor injured from Israeli fire.

I don't believe that in this era of global communications, conflicts are black boxes. Does sharing facts reported in the news and verified constitute "hate"? Prominent Jewish scholars have called the Israeli war in Gaza a genocide; multiple UN committees

@AndreiM10
too; recently, prominent Israelis signed a declaration that “Palestinians live under a regime of apartheid”. The news is full of condemnation of Israeli war crimes.

Here is Wikipedia's page on the #Palestinian #genocide, full of facts:

The only way to prevent evil is if good people speak out. Let us do that. It's the least we can do.
