Another Interrail trip about to begin. I'm all done, packed and cleaned the place, all in good time (thanks for the Good Friday holiday I guess). I have another hour to go before leaving for railway station, which has never happened before. What have I missed? OH MY DEAR LORD WHAT HAVE I MISSED?

#interrail

Made it to the train to Turku, fully clothed.

What was missing was my train wagon. Since the second class was full, and the advice to seek another seat there was moot, I purchased a change to first class – to avoid the inevitable hassle, waiting, explaining and ending up there anyway. Since, well, no space anywhere else. Let's see what VR thinks of my refund quest.

I’m happy I don’t do travel sickness. So far.

Transl: due to weather it is not sure if we can stop at Marienhamn. Weather forecasts don’t promise a smooth crossing, either.

The quiet bar I'm writing in, just turned into a children's disco. The kids are eagerly waiting for Ville the Viking, the Viking Line mascot, but he's late. Steering the ship, as the MC tells us, but I bet Ville is somewhere having a hangover of his life.

The surprise childrens' discos are the reason why I never leave the house without my headphones.

Back in good ol' 525, that doesn't even pretend to reach Copenhagen anymore. I'm happy I didn't schedule the earlier train to Malmö, since Viking Line was some 15 minutes late in Stockholm, and I would have missed it.

But more importantly: my #trainsocks.

@mkivinen Clever move! Good to know that the ship *can* be late. Did it skip the Åland stop?

@tml I think we were in the harbour quite on time, but there must have been some extra hassle. I do think we missed Marienhamn, so probably something to do with that.

TBH, I chose the later train to have a first breakfast in the SJ lounge, forgetting all about this Easter thing and it being closed. So, it wasn't a cunning plan.
