I'm building a writing platform called CivNode, and I'm looking for 20-25 beta testers.
The core idea: every writer gets a page called a CivPage. It's shown at random to visitors on the front page.
Not buried in a feed.
Not ranked by an algorithm.
It IS the frontpage, picked at random.
No follower count decides who gets seen. Your writing just shows up, same odds as everyone else's.
A thousand visitors means a thousand chances for someone to read yours.
Your CivPage could be anything. The opening chapter of your novel. A short story. A poem. Whatever you want people to find
first.
From there it leads to your showcase on CivNode, where you can share the rest of your work.
You also get your own forum. Not a site-wide forum where you compete for attention. Yours. You make the threads, you set the
topics.
What you get as a writer on CivNode:
- A proper writing editor: chapters, parts, poems, essays, plays. Not a text box.
- AI writing tools: exploration, coaching, character tracking. All optional.
- Publish books and collections, set your own prices.
- Your own forum.
- A showcase page where all your work lives.
- Letters: direct messages between writers.
- No ads. No algorithm.
Right now there are one hundred CivPages up, all generated by AI as placeholders. For every real writer who puts up a
CivPage, one AI CivPage gets removed. Once we hit a hundred real users, the bots are gone entirely.
I need people who'll actually write on CivNode and tell me what's broken. If that sounds interesting, give it a try.
