France is on its 5th Republic.

Perhaps it is time for serious citizens of the United States of America to start thinking about the successes and failures of the USA’s first republic and start working on a constitution and system of government for the 2nd American Republic.

It could be argued that this is a natural cycle for all democracies. France went back and forth from Republic to Empirical Fascist half a dozen times in 200 years before landing on its fifth iteration in 1958.

Many other countries (Spain, Germany, Austria) have had similar progressions.

@chris

Even what became the UK wasn't immune from civil wars and revolutions.

1688 and very nearly again in 1848.

Very clearly the current US Constitution and Bill of Rights are being totally ignored, with the Supreme Court failing to act in any meaningful way.

The US Second Republic is needed before it spits into multiple different countries based on political, economic and geography.

@chris but that would take more than 50% of the electoral college's represented citizens to care
@brandonscript 🤷‍♂️
They’re going to care eventually
@chris the 50+ year campaign by Rupert Murdoch and Fox News to control the narrative of American opinion has me believing that they would rather die than care.
@chris the good news is I guess the % split of care vs. not goes up in either case.
