Afghanistan 🇦🇫Thanks to the generous support of @EUinAfghanistan through @WHOAfghanistan, A new 50-bed Infectious Disease Hospital in Kunduz is now delivering critical care for communities across northeast Afghanistan.
The facility will serve more than 56,000 people throughout 2026, including over 10,000 children under five, strengthening the region’s capacity to detect and respond to outbreaks across Kunduz, Badakhshan, Baghlan, and Takhar.
Because timely care and strong surveillance can make the difference between containment and crisis.
